How to create a 'Thank You' pop-up for email sign-ups on Debut Theme?

I am using the Debut Theme and I’m having trouble figuring out how to add a Thank you Pop Up Message once someone has signed up for emails. I don’t want them to be re-directed to a new page. Once someone signs up for emails on my home page - I’d like for a pop up to appear. I tried using the POWR app to achieve this but it doesn’t seem to work. I’m open to either another app or installing code. Thank you
