How to create images with 1px white border on the main page (Shella Theme)?

Hi,

we tried to create images with 1px white border on the main page. There is an option directly in the theme settings called layout clean with border. But if we wann use a image with text and button on it and the 1px border, it doesnt work.

Is there anybody who is experienced with the Shella Theme?
