How to disable shipping for a digital gift card?

How do I stop the shipping on a digital gift card

If you added gift cards to your online store by creating gift card products, shipping for this product is disabled by default. If you didn’t use this method of setting up gift cards, I recommend doing so in order to take advantage of the gift card features that come with your Shopify store. You can learn about the features on this page.

If you set up your gift cards like how you would with non-gift card products and prefer this method, you can disable its shipping by following the steps below.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Products.

  2. Select the gift card product.

  3. In the Shipping section of the product page, uncheck This is a physical product.

  4. Click Save.

Gift cards have plenty of other uses besides simply selling them to customers. You can incorporate them into your marketing plan and use them in loyalty programs or a customer success strategy.
