I was wondering if anyone has had experience offering customization with jewelry on Shopify. Wondering how that would be set up in the back end, and is it possible to have fields where customers can type what they want engraved and as they type it shows up on the ring/necklace. - similar to https://qalo.com/products/rose-hex-classic-silicone-dog-id-tag?variant=19614353195094

It’s great to hear that you’re planning on selling custom jewelry; offering customers the ability to customize their products is a fantastic idea and there are actually some apps in the Shopify App Store specifically tailored to this.
A few popular options I suggest considering include Infinite Options, Infinite Product Options, and Product Options and Customizer. While all three of these apps allow you to add a text field to the product page, they also include a variety of other useful features, like dropdown menus, checkboxes, file uploads, swatches, and more. You may not need all of these features, but it could definitely be worth considering if you’d like to offer your customers more customizable product options.
Aside from using an app, you could also add a text field to your product page with a bit of custom code. Keep in mind that this is an advanced tutorial, so it might be worth hiring a developer through the Shopify Experts Marketplace if you need a hand.
