How to edit Blockshop theme and troubleshoot product page issues?

A few (hopefully quick and easy) questions/issues:

  1. Breadcrumbs are not showing on product pages despite the checkbox being clicked in theme editor.

  2. How do I remove the strike through compare at pricing

  3. Just generally: it has been a while since i edited the website and there is obviously a new layout in the Shopify theme editor but it also seems to be much less customizable than it previously was. Is it just me or was there an actual change in either Shopify or the theme itself?

I am ok with some light coding if necessary.

It looks like the theme you’re using, Blockshop is a third-party theme. These third-party themes are developed by third-party developers and would be outside our scope of support. I did some digging in our Theme Store. Is this the theme that you’re using: Blockshop?

If it is, I would recommend reaching out to the third-party developer about the breadcrumbs option you’ve mentioned earlier. As they designed the theme, they would have more insight on its functionality and may be able to help with what you’re working on. You can reach out to them through their contact form on their website. You can learn more about where to find support for your theme in our help docs here: Support for themes. Have you tried reaching out to the third-party developer?

It sounds like you also want to remove the prices with a strikeout on your store, is that right? If so, this sounds like Shopify’s Compare at Price feature. When the Compare at Price is used the product listing updates on your online store to show that the item is on sale. If you would like to remove the Compare at Price, please follow these steps from our help doc:

  • From your Shopify admin, go to Products > All products.
  • Click the name of a product.
  • In the Pricing section, set the Compare at price to the product’s original price. You can delete this compare at price if you want to remove it.
  • Set the Price of the product to your new sale price.
  • Click Save.

Most themes have been updated to a new theme editor called Online Store 2.0 which is why you may be seeing a difference in the look of the theme. What properties did you want to customize?
