How to fix unparsable structured data issues on a website?

Hi!

I hope you are fine!

I received an error from Google Search Console that says

Unparsable structured data issues detected on redbutterflybyomaris.com

To the owner of redbutterflybyomaris.com:

Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 1 Unparsable structured data issues:

Top Errors

Errors can prevent your page or feature from appearing in Search results. The following errors were found on your site:

Invalid top level element “string”

This happened after I tried to install the app Hulkapps ( for reviews) It did not work and then I contacted the support from this app and they installed. After that, I got this report from google. Please see photos. I am using Providence Theme. How do I fix this? Thank you!

@Oma

Please check following screenshot:

There is blank ld+json code so, I think it cause the error in google search console.

Remove this line of code:

<script id="productReviewsLd" type="application/ld+json">""</script>

If you are not comfortable to do it then let me know, I will send request for the Shopify collaborate account and will fix it from here.

Thank you,

Tejas

Hi Tejas!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your reply.

I could also find more information. Please see screenshot. I think it says the exact “line” where the problem is. Is this something that you could help?

will the same solution will work

Hi @SUyash2021

In your case, the issue is from poor coding in the structured data. They aren’t properly parsing the data when you’re using single or double quotes, so the tool thinks you have invalid fields. You’ll need to talk with your theme provider about this to have it resolved.

@ilanadavis

Thanks for your inputs actually we are using Booster theme we will escalate the same to their support.

Thanks for your quick reply
