How to Modify Shipping Notifications to Order Fulfilment Centres

Hello,

I am helping a client who ships from multiple locations, and for some reason anytime an order is placed, the order notification is sent to both order fulfilment locations, when it should only go to one that is in that specific geographical area.

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks,

Renée

This depends on what you’re using to send the emails.

For example, if you are using Shopify order notifications, and have included both emails there, then they will always receive the order notification, regardless of what is in the order.

If you’re wanting to send an email to specific people based on order conditions, 2 ways you can do this:

a) Use an app like Order Automator, for example you can identify if an order is assigned a certain location, then you can have the order get tagged and email the order to a person.

b) You can probably create an email filter. So for example have those notification emails go to orders@yourstore.com, then create an email filter so if a certain product is in the text, forward that email to fulfillment center A or B.

c) If you’re talking about the fulfillment service notification (typically used for 3rd party fulfillment services), then the notification will only happen for the fulfillment service where you request fulfillment - you can verify this in the order timeline. It sounds like this isn’t the case, but sharing as a possible solution if you want to change the way your fulfillment service gets notified about orders to fulfill.
