How to recover a seemingly deleted website from my account?

Hello Shopify Community,

I recently changed my email associated with my Shopify account, and it seems a glitch occurred. Now, my store appears as if it’s brand new, and I can’t log in with my old email.

Strangely, my old store is accessible through the link in my Instagram bio, but I can’t see it in my account leading my to suspect a security-related issue might be causing this.

If anyone with expertise in Shopify security could help me understand and resolve this, I’d greatly appreciate it.

It sounds like you actually created a new store while trying to change the email address associated with your original store. It will be very helpful if you could share your original store URL and the new store URL, so we can compare and see if that is the case.

However, keep in mind we cannot authenticate and look into account specifics via community forms for security purposes. So, the best way to establish the current situation of your account would be to contact our support team who can help further. Head over to our Help Center and login to create a support request.
