How to remove multiple Google tracking codes from the store?

Because of Tag Manager, Google Analytics and the Shopify Google App channel, I have multiple tracking codes on my store. How can I remove them?

I recommend uninstalling the Google Channel App. Then, not sure how you installed the Google analytics tracking code to your store, but go to your Shopify store → Themes → Preferences and there’s a section with Google Analytics. Remove the tracking code.

Check your checkout scripts if there is any Google analytics code and GTM code as well. If yes, remove it. And as for the Google Tag Manager, you might need to go to your theme.liquid file and remove it from there.

When you are done with these changes, I recommend using the Chrome Extension – Google Tag Assistant to check out whether the tracking codes have been successfully removed.
