How can I remove the cart from the nav?
you should never remove the cart from the menu its just really bad UX. If you don’t need cart functionality its probably best not to use shopify
Thanks for your unsolicited opinion on best practices. Let’s say I wanted to launch a landing page while we are getting ready to launch our Amazon/Shopify pages. There is nothing to sell, but we will in the future. Having a cart with ZERO products would be bad UX. Building out on another platform only to move to Shopify later would be unnecessarily cumbersome and not in the client’s best interest.
Found the solution if anyone is looking for it.
to hide the bag, go into snippets, backup the code, and delete the CSS in
Feather-bag.liquid
Also delete this line of code:
Header.liquid line approx line 232:
header-cart_count
Cheers!
why not just build a simple html site its so much cheaper for the clients? when they are ready for shopify you can just give them the Dawn theme and ready set go as far as design. Shopify is $$$ compared to a HTML landing page in fact i can host html for 3 years for one shopify months payment lol
