A large white space appears at the bottom of the “virtual consultation” page on a Shopify store using the Debut theme. The author wants a fix limited to this single page and notes the issue began after recent site edits by a contractor.
Earlier guidance pointed to editing a page-specific section/template (e.g., a virtual-consultation.liquid file), but that file isn’t present under Sections, as shown in screenshots. The author inspected another section’s code and tried removing empty lines, which did not resolve the spacing.
The latest recommendation is to remove the parallax effect in the affected section, then place the image followed by the form to make the content full-page. After that structural change, further help will be provided to eliminate the remaining white space.
Key terms: parallax effect (a background image scroll effect that can add extra vertical space); Sections/Liquid files (Shopify theme templates).
Outcome: no resolution yet. Action item is to disable parallax and restructure the section (image then form); the discussion remains open. Screenshots are central to understanding the missing file and code context.
Thanks for the response! Below is what I see in this section. Line 184 is the last line. Would you say I should try removing all the empty lines (160, 161, 163, 164, 172, 173, 182, 184)?
This didn’t work unfortunately. This page was functioning fine a few days ago. This only occurred once I hired someone to make a few changes to other pages on my website. Not sure how to fix it.
First you need to remove the parallex effect from that section and add the image and then the form this will make it full page for which then I will be able to assist you how to remove the white space
