I am attempting to set up my shopify store using the Empire theme. The recommended slideshow sizes, 1800x1000 for desktop and unspecified for mobile (750x1100 and 600x800 both attempted) result in cropped images. The same happens with blog post images, no suggested size is specified and all attempts result in cropped images once uploaded to the site. Are there recommended image sizes for the three of these items that will not result in cropping? Also, is there a way to allow for dynamic resizing according to the visitor’s device / display aspect ratio?

Shopify Partner- In the future, please provide your solution/answer to the question for other users. I have the Empire theme, and when I use the recommended 1800x1000 pixel standard it does not work for us either. It would be nice to have a theme page (for each theme) that would share the correct image sizes to use. The Shopify recommendations do not work for all the themes- you would likely get a lot less requests for assistance if more information was published.
