Multi-store & multi-language issue
My primary store has the local language (not English) as default. Now we are planning to have several new shops with English as the default language. Each new shop includes only part of the products of the primary store. The products which should be transferred are tagged with store names. Because the primary store includes +10K products we have decided that we need to use DeepL to translate the data.
Our first idea was to translate the primary store to all the languages which are needed. And then use some sync app to transfer the product to each store. The first issue we faced is the product meta fields are not synced in the most app. The second issue is that the synced products can’t be limited by tags. And the third issue is the language: 1) the apps we tested do not sync the languages 2) the handle can’t be translated.
I know that PIM might be the solution, but at this point, I think we do not have the resources (time and money) to implement it in the process.
My second idea is now not to sync the product data, only the inventory using the SKU. And then import/export all the product data with Matrixify. Before importing the data we will load it in a Google Sheet where we build a script that translates all the data into English using the DeepL API. Then we can use some translate apps to translate the new stores into multiple languages.
Is this a valid way to do it? Does anyone have a one-click solution that I haven’t found?
