How to serve scaled image in Dawn shopify theme on homepage?

Hi - I’m new to reaching out to the Shopify community and would greatly appreciate help on an ecommerce site I just launched. When I received the following warning for my homepage image (site link below).

How can I update the theme code so to serve a reduced size of these images, per details below?

Warning: You have 2 images that are larger than needed to be displayed resulting in 84.72 Kb of potential savings. Serving images that are appropriately-sized will save cellular data and improve load times. You have 2 images that are larger than needed to be displayed!

You can try to replace your images with those images and check again

Hi @Dan-From-Ryviu - thanks for looking into this. Is there something different about the images you linked that would change the results?

I converted those images to .webp format and saved 50% of the image size.

Oh, many thanks! I will give those a try and see how they look. I’m curious though…aside from changing image format and reloading, is there a code that can be added to the theme to adjust the image size served?
