How to set up CBD product subscriptions without Shopify Payments?

We have a store selling CBD products and want to set up subscriptions for them. Due to recent policy changes, Shopify no longer allows subscription apps like Bold and PayWhirl to use third-party payment gateways. All those apps must now use Shopify Payments gateway. As we deal with CBD we can’t use Shopify Payments, so we use Authorized.net instead.

Because of this none of current subscription apps can offer what we need. So we’d like to know if anyone here encountered the same issue and have a quick solution for it?

We were ready to launch our website but found out that when there is a subscription item and a non-subscription item in the same cart, it doubles the flat shipping fee for the customers and doesn’t calculate correctly for free shipping over $50. we have tried PayWhirl and ReCharge.
We are looking at having our developer build a completely new site on BigCommerce. They’ll let you use any payment gateway. $1300 down the drain.

I have encountered a Shopify merchant before who’s able to use recharge app along with Authorized.net. I’ve also found their help document here : https://support.rechargepayments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022929933-Payment-processors-FAQ#h_0bc9e4b0-9bed-4ac6-aae7-b60091037421 ,as per recharge merchants may use the app along with the Authorized.net/Braintree/Stripe.

I am using pinwheel gateway and looking for subscription app that is compatible. I suppose i will look into authorized.net

Hi all! I have the same issue - sell CBD products, cant do subscription. I use Viva Wallet a payment gateway. Does anyone have any suggestion how I could integrate? Thanks!

Pinwheel says they do it but its $100 a month I’m trying to find a more cost effective solution

So if anyone else has suggestions that would be great, FYI I’m using Square for CBD now on Word press and moving to Shopify

They use the Shopify subscription API (which doesn’t allow CBD sales), so Ordergroove won’t work on Shopify.

I know its been some time since anyone has had an update here, but has anyone found a solution to this issue yet?
