Thank you for sharing that screenshot! With CSV imports there are a few details you need to make sure of for the import to complete correctly. What sort of changes are you looking to make to your products with the CSVs?
While working on a CSV, another thing to watch out for is that the program you are using on your computer will sometimes adjust the file. Do you mind if I ask which program you’ve been using? Excel in particular can cause these kinds of adjustments. Some alternative program options which won’t affect your CSVs are:
Numbers - By default installed on any mac.
Google Sheets - Free to anyone with a google account.
Open Office - Free to download and use.
You’ll also want to make sure the file is correctly encoded and exported as a .csv. Your CSV files must use UTF-8 encoding. If these steps aren’t followed correctly, our systems may not be able to read all of the information. This help doc explains a bit more about that.
Aside from this, I was also wondering how you’ve been finding running a business on Shopify so far? Is your store where you expected it to be at this time, why or why not?
Please feel free to continue the conversation and share any questions about what I’ve said!
I tried with google sheet and it worked ! It seems that Excel was the problem, weird, maybe I don’t have the correct settings with importing/exporting csv files.
Anyways your answer helped me !
Concerning shopify itself, I’m experiencing things with it right now, it’s really user-friendly, I love it!
It’s also great to hear that you’ve been enjoying your time with Shopify so far! To help you take things to the next level, I wanted to suggest checking out the Shopify Academy. There are several different courses in there that will be helpful as you continue setting up your business and developing beyond!
