How to stop products from showing up in "You may also like" on Aurora Theme

I would like to hide certain products from “You may also like”

I have seen previous solved solutions that recommend creating a hidden product tag and then editing the code to add the following to the related-products.liquid

“{% unless recommendation.tags contains ‘hidden’ %} {% endunless %}”

as seen here: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/hiding-a-product-from-recommendations/m-p/2590092

however the Aurora theme has “product-recommendations.liquid” that has completely different code.

Any way to do this on Aurora?

Like you said you can create a product’s metafield and use it as a filter inside the product’s loop.

Create the product’s metafield in CMS and try to modify the snippet to something like this.
