I want to transfer my domain to a new hosting company. How can i do that?

In order to make sure I understand exactly what you’re trying to do here, I have a few questions:
- Are you looking to transfer a domain AWAY from Shopify, or TO Shopify?
- Are you looking to transfer the domain, or are you looking to connect the domain instead?
- If you are transferring, do you mind me asking why you’re looking to do so? Just curious!
If you’re looking to transfer your domain away from Shopify, we have a help document that outlines some information on how to do so here. Sometimes your new hosting platform has additional instructions that need to be followed, so I recommend checking out their support resources to see if they have additional info, as well.

Have you had the opportunity to follow along with the instructions on our Help Document on Transferring Domains Away from Shopify? Please, let me know if you’ve following along with those steps, and are still unable to complete the transfer yourself.
It’s important to note that you won’t be able to transfer a domain with the following extensions (located in the table below) without help from our Support Team. If your domain ends with one of those extensions, please reach out to our Support Team using this link so we can help.
