How to use non-traditional payment methods on Shopify in Africa?

Hi there

I have an issue in that I being in Africa, have a banking account called EU( express union) which don’t use Visa or MasterCard but rather my phone number for transactions and I aswell have my mobile money app but the issue stems from the fact that all the payment methods I have looked up for Shopify require a Visa or MasterCard which I don’t have even though I do have a bank account and ever since my account has been suspended please I would love some help with this

Thanks for reaching out with this query. You can pay for your Shopify bills (one-time or recurring) by using the following payment methods:

  • a valid credit card from Mastercard, Visa, or American Express
  • a debit card that is co‑branded with Mastercard, Visa, or American Express
  • Shopify Balance in some regions
  • PayPal in some regions

Have you considered using PayPal? When you pay for your bills using PayPal, you can use PayPal balance, bank accounts, debit cards, or credit cards that are associated with your PayPal account.I hope this workaround works well for you!
