I am completely new to Shopify, how do I get products from other merchants to sell in my store?

Welcome to Shopify! If you want to sell products from other merchants, you have a few great options:

  1. Dropshipping – Use apps like DSers (AliExpress), Spocket, or Zendrop to source products without holding inventory. When a customer buys, the supplier ships directly to them.

  2. Print-on-Demand – Services like Printful or Printify let you sell custom designs on products with no upfront inventory.

  3. Wholesale Suppliers – Platforms like Faire or Abound allow you to buy in bulk and resell at a profit.

If you need help setting this up, I’d be happy to assist!"

I’d be happy to help you get started with selling products from other merchants on Shopify.

You have a few options:

  1. Dropshipping: Partner with a supplier to ship products directly to customers.
  2. Oberlo: A platform that connects you with suppliers worldwide.
  3. SaleHoo: A wholesale directory with verified suppliers.
  4. Shopify’s Wholesale Marketplace: Connects you with verified suppliers.

To get started:

  1. Research suppliers and products.
  2. Set up your Shopify store.
  3. Install a dropshipping app or use Shopify’s built in feature.
  4. Import products and set prices.
  5. Customize your store’s design.

Just remember to:

  • Research suppliers thoroughly.
  • Understand supplier agreements.
  • Comply with Shopify’s terms and laws.

That’s it. You’ll be selling products from other merchants in no time.

In your new Shopify store you can use dropshipping to sell for other merchants and no inventory required since the suppliers will ship them directly to the buyers. Follow these steps:

— Sign up on Shopify, then select a theme & a name for your store before adding payment and shipping options.

Locate Suppliers: You can either make use of apps such as DSers (AliExpress), Spocket (US/EU) or reach out to other traders.

Select Products: Choose a specific type of good, bring in products with ease through applications or manually (e. g., CSV files).

Determine Pricing: Set selling prices above supply expenses for gain (e. g. buy at $10 & sell $25).

Advertise: Utilize social media platforms and paid ads for marketing.

Process Orders: Send customer purchase list to dropship vendor manually through CRM app

Take it slow, evaluate service providers & give priority to customer satisfaction. Open your store now & take on DSers.

Hey, I just wanted to add more to this. There is something called Shopify Collective, where you can collaborate with retailers and suppliers and sell products using someone else’s inventory. You can read more about it here - Shopify Collective.

It essentially lets businesses partner with other Shopify stores, allowing them to act as either suppliers, retailers, or both. Retailers sell the suppliers’ products, while suppliers manage the shipping and product supply. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much!
