The 3-day trial period ends today. I was able to view the $1 plan for 3 months during the trial period, but now I can’t choose it. The Basic plan costs over $24. Did the $1 plan for 3 months become inactive because I didn’t choose it during the trial period?
If there is such a problem, it means that my Shopify adventure will end before it begins.
To better understand the issue, please share the error restricting you from selecting the $1 month/3 months trial. If you have a screenshot for better visibility, that would be helpful. If not, I’d like to gather more information if the option was greyed out or inaccessible in some way.
To clarify, when you sign up for a free trial with Shopify, you will have a free trial period lasting 3 days. At the end of your trial, you will have access to the $1/month for 3 months on either the Starter or Basic plans.
Once the 3-day trial period is over, you’ll need to proceed to the choose a plan page and be able to select either the Starter or Basic plans for $1 USD/month for 3 months. After the 3-month period is up, you will be required to pay the full price of your selected plan as normal.
As a workaround (if you no longer have access to the $1 month/3 months trial) you can create a new trial store to get access to the $1 extended trial pricing.
Thank you for joining the thread and trying the workaround.
It looks like we’ll need to take a look at your account, as creating a new store should allow you to select the $1/month for 3 months on the Starter, Basic, Shopify and Advanced plans (outlined on our plans and pricing page.)
To connect with our team, please use the Help Center to create a support request. Our team will have access to your account to see why you’re unable to see this plan option. If you have questions navigating the help center, please let us know.
Hello I bought basic plan amonth ago and it is charging 25$ isnstead of 1$ because you have to pay 1$ for three months.what should i do now because my account is frozen
Thank you for joining the thread and sharing your question.
To gather context, was your store previously on a different plan? The reason I ask is, the $1 a month for 3 month trial applies to newly created accounts for the following plans: Basic, Shopify, Advanced, Starter and Retail. You can find more information on our Plans and Pricing page. If this is the case, then you’ll need to create a new account and select one of the following plans I’ve shared above.
As a Shopify Partner, did you create a development store?
If you were previously on a development plan then the development store is no longer eligible for promotions or free trials after you transfer the store to a live plan. This is listed in our Creating Development Stores resource.
Hi Victoria, thank you for your advise and support. I encountered the same issue as well. I was only able to view the $1 plan for 1 month, not the 3 months as advertised.
