I have 2 Shopify Stores Linked to one email account

I have 2 shopify stores linked to one email account causing me to not be able to correctly log into the right one. The other account is causing me to not be able to log into shopify on my phone as well as stopping me on the browser. When I try logging into the other store it says too many redirects, so the store can never get closed down because i cant get rd of it. Also says when I try to go to the store link that the store is unavailable. The store that needs to be removed is called Affitone.

Get your email verified once to simply put yourself out of this trouble. this email verification is generally sent by Shopify, it looks similar to the image attached. Right after the verification, you will be able to switch and manage all your stores from a single email account.

Nick here from Shopify.

As @Amaan1 mentioned you can now use Single Sign-On (SSO) to make it easier to log in to any and all of your stores from one email address. This applies to not only store owners but staff members also. This means that you won’t have to keep track of separate email addresses and passwords for each store and Shopify service that you use.

Shopify has a guide for this going into more detail and the steps for how to set it up here.

Would you still be looking to remove the other store with the addition of SSO or would this solve the problem and make you want to keep it? Be sure to let me know and we can look into it if you still want to remove the store.

I have created by mistake 2 stores under one email, can i migrate one shop to another email to have them separated ? :slightly_smiling_face:

You can indeed change the email for one of the stores if you wish. You can do this by following the steps below in your store admin:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Users and Permissions.

  2. In the Store owner section, click your name.

  3. Click View account settings.

  4. Log in to your account.

  5. In the Details section, click Change email.

  6. In the New email box, enter your new email address.

  7. In the Password box, enter your current password.

  8. Click Change email.

Something to note though is that having the same email for multiple stores won’t merge them or necisaarily have them connected in any way. But with the same email you can easily switch between stores more efficiently. You can see the guide which explains this in more detail here and I linked the screenshot below of how this would look!

You still might want to keep the stores with seperate emails, but I wanted to let you know about this also! Hope it helps and let me know if you have any other questions!

Hello! We are trying to start another store. Right now it is set up under a different email, but I have 2 questions. 1. Can you change the new store to the email address of our other store now? 2. By doing so, can we use the same Paypal account for both stores?
