just opened a business manager account on meta and got my ad account restricted right after I made it , then I went with the instructions and they asked for an id I submitted it and also turned on 2 step authentication to make it clear that I am not violating any policy as far as I remember I think it said they it will be reviewed from 48 to 72 hours and I also heard from a youtuber that it’s very normal for new accounts to go through this
Please send me any help because I made it today so I wanna know when can it be solved
Hey @Miriamashraf66 ,
It’s common for new Business Manager accounts on Meta to face temporary restrictions for security reasons. Since you’ve already submitted your ID and enabled two-step authentication, here’s what you can do next:
- Wait for Review: Meta usually takes 48 to 72 hours to review your documents. Keep an eye on your email and Business Manager notifications for updates.
- Check Business Manager Security Settings: Go to Business Settings > Security Center to ensure your account is verified and secure.
- Appeal if Necessary: If the restriction remains after the review period, you can submit an appeal via Meta’s Account Quality page: https://www.facebook.com/accountquality/.
Avoid Further Flagging: Do not create multiple accounts, as this may trigger more restrictions.
If the issue persists beyond 72 hours, reaching out to Meta Business Support may help expedite the process.
Hope this helps!
I uploaded a photo but I guess it was a screen shot of a photo I took before will this prevent them from accepting thr Id
Hi @Miriamashraf66
It’s pretty common for new Meta Business Manager accounts to get flagged, especially if you’re creating an ad account right away. Since you’ve already submitted your ID and enabled two-factor authentication, you’re on the right track. Meta usually reviews accounts within 48 to 72 hours, but in some cases, it can take up to a week.
While waiting, check Business Settings > Account Quality to see if there are any additional steps you need to take. Also, avoid making multiple review requests, as it could slow things down. If it’s still restricted after 72 hours, try contacting Meta Support through the Help Center for an update
Hope it gets resolved soon!
I did all the things but over a week later and I’m still restricted. I’m new to this process. Do I wait it out? Delete the add account and try again? Thanks
This actually happens quite a lot with brand-new Business Manager accounts, so you’re not alone. Meta’s system automatically flags fresh accounts for review, especially when they haven’t built any history yet. Since you’ve already submitted your ID and enabled 2FA, you’ve done the right steps. The review usually takes 48–72 hours, but sometimes it can take a bit longer depending on their queue. In the meantime, avoid making more changes to the account — just wait it out. If it stretches past 5 days, you can submit an appeal through Meta’s Help Center to get human support involved.
