While I definitely understand the stress this is causing you, and wish I could provide some relief, I don’t have access to your specific situation.
That being said, allow me to provide some clarity into why stores may be removed from the platform. This can happen for a variety of reasons, from products not following our Acceptable Use Policy, to chargeback risk, etc.
While your products may be custom products, they could still infringe on the intellectual property of other brands. For example, if you create custom stuffed animals based on the likeness of a Disney character, for example Baby Yoda, this would infringe on Disney’s IP.
Shopify should realize that some people are submitting fake DMCA takedowns
to hurt competitors. And secondly a lot of us use the same supplier or
factory photos.
My Online Shopify store was just removed with ZERO warning. I have worked as a corporate web content developer and managened many CMS websites. If the CMS had any legal issues we would get a notice/warning, but NEVER did they just take a website offline. I have chatted with a very understanding bot who could not answer ANY of my questions but was VERY good at being polite. ..I hear you, I understand, That must be difficult…etc. I/m a small business who is working hard at moving Etsy customers to Shopify and have just started making legal email campaigns sending people to my Shopify site. Now I am supposed to wait to hear back to WHY my online store has been removed. I follow the laws and sell legal products. It would be great to know what is going on. Thanks. Sus
I haven’t even published my site yet, I’ve spent 3 full days building it and they have shut it down completely today saying I have violated something about AUP. I’m literally gazebos/tents that’s it and I’m reading about child exploitation and selling harmful products. Literally just gazebo/tents.
While I am unable to verify the specifics of your account or why your store has been removed, I do recommend replying to the email you were sent for more information.
You can also reach out to our live support here at the link for more clarification about this.
you can’t reply via email, emailing shopify support is not I an option now you get an email saying go to the support centre. Then it’s impossible to get what you’re looking for. I’ve done some research and it seem shopify are closing people’s stores down for no reason whatsoever and putting down to violating AUP policies which is apparently what I have done but it’s not true whatsoever.
there is obviously a bigger picture behind this at shopify and I’m not stopping untill I get an answer to why my store was actually closed down or my store reinstated. Shopify is now playing with people’s livelihoods
They did reinstate my store like 2 months later, but by then I had already started building another store else where. Yeah avoid shopify, they are terrible
