Hi. I have started off with the Savor theme, but I want to switch over to the Dawn theme. Unfortunately I found the dawn theme has no section for the Homepage “Icons with text” as the Savor theme. I tried everything that is available in the Dawn Theme section, but nothing works.
I basically have an Icon and two (grouped) text fields underneath. All three items (icon, and both text fields) are also grouped, to add a link for the whole bit to link to a collection. The two text parts are linked, so I can add a different background colour to just this group.
Is there any way to achieve the same in the Dawn theme? Or any (free) app that could do the same?
Thanks for reaching out great question. You’re correct that the Dawn theme doesn’t include an “Icons with text” section like Savor does, but there are a couple of approaches you can take to replicate that functionality.
No worries the Custom Liquid block is all we need. I can rebuild the same “Icon with Text” layout using a small custom code snippet so the whole group (icon + texts) stays linked and styled just like in Savor.

Thank you. Well, I have around 14 different icons and text and I need the text to be changeable, as well as the icons - so something I can use/change myself would really be preferred
Absolutely, that’s no problem. I can create a reusable, fully editable section where you can easily change each icon and the text yourself no coding needed. It will support all 14 items and function just like a native Dawn section.

Savor is a horizon based theme not a dawn based theme.
To transfer behavior between arbitrary themes is an advanced theme customization beyond the scope of the forums.
DIY - If you have time to burn just ask the sidekick AI to generate the section you might get lucky and not make something that needs more work to fix.
Otherwise at minimum show your work so far.
