If you were a customer, what would keep you from buying from my Shopify store?

I get a lot of traffic on my website but the conversion rate is below 0.5%. I’m curious as to what I need to do in other to improve my conversion and make more sales. So check out my website and let me know from a customer standpoint what would keep you from buying from my store.

I appreciate that you have included your online store URL to let us explore! Looking into the URL, I noticed that you are not using an announcement bar as a call to action for your customers. You could use the announcement bar to let your visitors become aware of any on-going discounts or free shipping offers that may be available. It is a great way to encourage a purchase.

You have a beautiful store, by the way! I love that you have a YouTube video that goes into depth about the brand and how the products are made. What do you think about including a slideshow section as the first section on the homepage? As this can allow you to show off your favorite products or best sellers, you can still have the YouTube video on the homepage as it definitely strengthens your brand.

You could also change up the navigation menu on the header of the online store. This way you can let your customers know of the other collections you have available. Alternatively, you can change the option View More to Collections to inform the visitors of the other products you have available. In this case, when your customers mouse over the Collections button, they can see a drop down of the collections. The easier your products can be accessed increases the chance of improving your conversion.

Thank you so much for your response. I appreciate and will put them into effect. About slide show, you mean putting it at the spot where the video is and then move the video down on the homepage?

The video that you have on the homepage is captivating and very informative, however, it requires the customer to select the play button in order for the video to begin. The reason I am recommending this change is to make the homepage more interactive, the slideshow will automatically begin displaying a product or collection. It can grab the customers attention without having them action anything on their side.

In our opinion, the site has the potential for more traffic. Nevertheless, analyze whether the website visitors are your target group when it comes to customers.

Hi @tmbiamno ,

Just to add to the previous posts, It’s also a good practice to check your abandoned checkout and see which customers are adding products to their cart but not pushing through with the checkout. You can also customize your abandoned cart emails and provides some sort of discount or promotion if they go back. I hope this helps.
