Image Banner width detection for adaptive size vx Product Grid - RIDE THEME

How do I make the Image Banner and Product Grid adapt to the screen size uniformly?

Currently it seems the image banner has some kind of padding making it detect the horizontal edges well before the product grid does.

I’ve tried changing image sizes and tweaking a few things in code but to no avail.
