Hi All,
I am looking to import a customer database into Shopify from a different application. The Shopify customer import database template includes: First Name, Last Name, Company, Address 1, etc. Is there a way to add a field for Address 2? Several of my customers have a different billing address than the shipping address. I attempted to export a customer from Shopify with 2 addresses; however, only the default address export’s.
Thanks!
There is Default Address Address2 field in customer database.
Download customer csv and fill it that match the field from your data. If no field match, you need to create metafields for it and I recommend to use Matrixify app for the import if it involved metafields data.

Hello @Lostintherain and @Sandro_J_Monte
Thank you for mentioning the Matrixify app here.
You sure can use the Matrixify app to export and import Customers with multiple addresses. In Matrixify Customers template file those would be multiple rows for the same customer. For example, if Customer has 3 addresses, in the export/import file that customer would have 3 rows.
Here in the Matrixify Customers documentation page, you can see each column from our template explained and download the Demo template file.
In the Demo file see a customer steve@example.com
. The customer has two adjacent rows filled with different Address details and thus has two addresses for the same Customer.
Try it out and if you have any questions or concerns along the way, feel free to reach out to our Support directly.
Thanks Everyone. I really appreciate the suggestions. I will give Matrixify a look. Have a great weekend.
