Hello Shopify Community! I am running the Impulse Theme and cannot figure out how to make it so that the dropdown variant inside of a product changes when the customer clicks on the image/thumbnail. There are a lot of mistaken orders. I’ve tried various pieces of code I’ve found that are meant to be place is the theme.js file but none have worked so far. Thank you in advance!

Impulse theme does not currently support this and this is a complex requirement so it will be difficult for someone else to guide you in detail.

So I recommend you hire an expert for it because Impulse theme will have a lot of complex JS code, they need to check and debug it.
