We have new packaging and I am wondering how to go back to update the weight of the product. It doesn’t appear I can make any changes, at least I have not been able to figure it out thus far.
Suggestions?

Thank you for your message, I would be happy to help you out with this. It sounds like you are using weight-based shipping rates, am I correct? Weight-based shipping rates combine the weights of the individual products in the cart, with your default package weight added to each product’s weight. If you need to change a specific product in your Shipping profiles weight, you will need to view that product specifically to edit the weight.
Head to your Shopify admin and click Products, select the product and you should see the option to edit its specific weight. If you have multiple variants for your product, you will need to edit the weight in each specific variant. Friendly reminder, if you need to change multiple product variant weights at one time, you could also use your Bulk Edit function for this.

To change the weight of a product in the shipping profile, you need to do that individually under the Product section. If you are looking for bulk edits then that option is also available within Shopify.

I had the same question and tried this, but the weight option isn’t appearing in my product page when I go there to edit the weight. It shows when I first enter a new product, but not after that. Any ideas? Thanks so much! Joy
I’m having the same problem.
When I add a new item, I can edit the weight plus all other details.
I then “active” new listing.
When I go to edit the weight and other details, they do not appear.
To edit, I go into PRODUCT, select the product I want to edit - no weight to edit.
Need help!
I found it!
If the item you need to edit has different sizes or variant, you need to go into each size and edit from there.
I am having the same problem. I only have one variant. No weight option to be found. Did anyone find a solution?

I was unable to do it individually, but you can go to “Product” select all products, click “Bulk Edit” in the top right. This will bring up all of the visible columns you can edit. If you do not see weight, click “Columns” in the top right and scroll down to “Weight”. This will add a weight column to what you are editing. from their you can adjust any the product weights for the different variants you may have.
I dont even see the ‘Bulk Edit’ even in the top right?
Click add variant then on the left you will see all the variants and you can click on them and change the weights
I also can’t find anywhere to input weight. I can’t see it when I add a new item, I can’t see this field when I try to edit an item, I can’t see a bulk edit function. This is on a one variant item. Can someone help? please
