I own a women’s bras and underwears brand and I use POS Misaeshop to manage it. I would like integration between Misaeshop and Shopify, Misaeshop has an api portal and it is online. My needs is keeping the stock and inventory true on both side for seamless integration and to prevent upselling. Features such as updating both inventory and little bits like colour, size, photos. Could you propose the timeline and how much would it cost?
Hey @harryllleee ,
That’s a great question and a critical integration for any brand running both a POS and a Shopify store. Keeping inventory perfectly synced is essential to prevent overselling and maintain a great customer experience, and it’s good that Misaeshop has an API portal to make this possible.
You asked for a timeline and cost, which is the right question to ask. However, for a custom API integration, any expert who gives you a price without first reviewing the API documentation would simply be guessing. The professional approach involves a clear, phased process to ensure success.
Typically, a robust integration project like this is broken down into four stages:
-
API Discovery: The first step is a thorough review of the Misaeshop API documentation. We need to understand its endpoints (how to get inventory data, how to update it), its authentication methods, and any rate limits.
-
Data Mapping: Next, we map the data fields. For example, how does Misaeshop’s “size” or “color” field correspond to Shopify’s “variant options”? This ensures all the data points you mentioned are translated correctly.
-
Building the Sync Logic: This is the development phase, where the integration itself is built. This is often done via a private Shopify App or a middleware service that listens for events (like a sale on Shopify or the POS) and triggers the appropriate inventory updates on the other side.
-
Testing & Deployment: Finally, the integration is rigorously tested in a safe staging environment before going live on your store.
This is definitely a solvable problem. My standard process for a project of this scope is to start with a small, fixed-price Technical Discovery & Scoping Session. In this session, we’d review the Misaeshop API docs together and create a detailed project blueprint with a firm timeline and cost.
If you’re open to that professional, risk-free approach, I’d be happy to discuss what that initial discovery phase would look like.
Best, Lenox
