We are a Nigerian based African e-commerce business selling UK fast fashion brands to women in Africa. Currently we’re operational in Nigeria but we want to expand to Ghana and Kenya as soon as possible. Therefore we’re looking for a way to accept payments and serve customers in these countries.
I contacted someone from Shopify Support and they mentioned that Shopify payments does not support this (plus Shopify payments aren’t enabled for our region), so we want to be able to use our African payment processors (Paystack and Flutterwave) to display prices in local African currencies for product listings and also at the checkout as it’s really complex for customers to convert the price from one African currency to another especially if they’re not familiar with Nigerian Naira. Online payments in these countries are primarily done through mobile money, which Paystack and Flutterwave will help us process.
We’re looking for a developer who can help us integrate our third party processor (Paystack, Flutterwave) and also display our prices in different currencies on our website for the product prices and at checkout. I am not a technical person, so I would rather have someone come in and do this for us rather than explain. I mean all explanations are welcomed, but we’d love to find a technical partner that can help us with this.
