International customer phone numbers with Storefront API

Hello,

I am trying to use the Storefront API to update customer information. There is a note about phone numbers:
Formatted using E.164 standard. For example, +16135551111. To remove the phone number, specify null.

Does shopify ONLY accept +1 as an international dial code? So only North American phone number are accepted? I have tried to use different country codes but i get phone is invalid errors. The docs are not clear on this at all.

Anyone know what’s up with that? Thanks in advance

I am in the same situation, did you succeed?

So what i found was that they accept US and Canada (+1), as well as UK (+44) and Australia (+61). The countries phone number lengths may vary, so you need to use the correct number of digits with the corresponding code.
