We are a Canadian store and have been selling to the US for the last year. I’d like to open that up and bring in more countries and regions, gradually. Is there a comprehensive guide with the steps and considerations for opening up global sales? I’m thinking about actual store set-up and modifications, currencies, shipping, selling some lines to certain countries but not others, taxes, and implications for a Canadian business. I can piecemeal it through the Shopify help and forums like this, but was hoping for a guide so I don’t miss anything.

If you are a Canadian company planning on selling internationally you need to learn about taxes in Europe - Value Added Tax (VAT). I work for a company called Euro VAT Refund, we are experts and help U.S. and Canadian companies with VAT. We just recently recorded a free webinar about taxes when selling online.
I can’t post the link here it doesn’t work… But if you google “Euro VAT Refund, Inc. in Los Angeles” and click on our website you’ll find us. On the homepage in the middle under “latest news” there is a webinar. Fill in your name and it takes you to a free recording with tons of Powerpoint slides. Hope you find it helpful!
