I currently use ShipStation for creating shipping labels, it works flawlessly with my label printer, but I have found that Shopify shipping rates are cheaper so I want to use that instead. When I tried using Shopify to create labels, the process is plain and simple but is an awful lot of clicking to finally get to the label I want and then it doesn’t automatically print, I have to open the PDF to then send it to the label printer. Is there an application that I can download that uses the Shopify shipping rates and sends the tracking number back/marks as fulfilled when created? Much like the simple ShipStation but to be able to use Shopify rates….. TIA
P.S. I tried looking for another post similar to mine but am I the only one to think of this?
Hi Mirdas, I would like to clarify the question in case you have an answer for it. Kaitly is asking if the steps to create a label can be shortened by customizing the label creation process, the process is cumbersome compared to say Shipstation with a single click. In Shipstation one can finish an order in less than 10 seconds, on Shopify its 40 seconds due to the amount of steps. Is there a way to customize?
Right now Im using a complex macro to speed things up on Shopify.
When utilizing Shopify Shipping, customization of the label creation process is not possible.
However, if you have your independent shipping account, consider leveraging apps such as a multi-carrier shipping label app. These applications streamline the shipping label generation with a single click, seamlessly integrated within Shopify without the need to navigate away.
