Is there an App available to see how many views individual products get? Seems like a no brainer but can’t find it in Shopify’s analytics. TIA
Hi, @M_Holland
Thanks for sharing your question!
At this time, displaying views for a particular product is not a native feature in the admin. However, I do have an app recommendation and a workaround to use in the meantime. I understand having this functionality for your business is important and I’ll be sure to submit your feedback to our developers for review. You can stay up to date with platform updates and changes through our Shopify Changelog.
The app Visitor Counter is an an app that tracks your stores analytics. The app is able to display product page views, count only unique page views and record and displays your website traffic.
A second option is to utilize the Analytics > Dashboard section within your Shopify admin. Although it does not display the specific product views, you’re able to view Top landing pages. You can also take a closer look within the Dashboard section under Top products by units sold to be able to determine the top selling products on your store. I’ll share this help center resource for more information on the overview dashboard and categories.
Hi,
As far as I know Shopify still does not offer this kind of analytics, but there are many apps that are built in order to fulfil this need.
Such is our app, Datma, designed exactly for this need, to better understand your products/catalog and how users interact with it. It operates its own tracking system (based on Shopify Pixel, so the data is reliable as its captured by Shopify). It is a one click install and comes with a generous 30 day free trial so you can get to evaluate thoroughly. You can also take a quick look at our demo, no registration or login required: https://demo.datma.io . And this is a link to a product report which a lot of relevant metrics (you can see what else is available clicking Edit columns): https://demo.datma.io/shopify/reporting/metrics/1416 - not all data is available in demo, but you can create an impression what it delivers.
It combines data from Shopify APIs and with the tracking data it really gives a great tool to those who want to be data driven.
Best,
Peter @ Datma
