Ok, this is a noob question. My landing pages start as a custom template, which I build up with a lot of sections that contain the necessary images and text (i.e., content) and hide the Page section, and then I add a blank page and assign it the template.
The page WYSIWYG rich text editor is just too basic or too cumbersome to build visually appealing and converting landing pages, which is why I just use sections. My landing pages don’t usually include big blocks of text content, and I treat the page and blog rich text editors as simple ways to write medium to long form content.
I’ve always assumed this was the way it’s done, but is it? Should the page rich text editor be used because it’s better for SEO? That is, is the copy and content I put in sections being indexed by search engines? Should the pages include all the content in the sections, but kept hidden on the template?
Thanks for the clarification.
