Javascript for shopify app development? What other languages?

Hello! I’m somebody who is looking to get into web/app development and while I know building Shopify apps is a bit far down the road, I want to make sure I’m learning the correct skills for my goals. I’d love to build shopify apps one day and to make a job of it.

My question is, is Javascript one of the languages I should learn for this goal? I imagine Python and other languages are useful as well.

Hi,

Javascript is a great place to start, I’d also recommend learning about React to go along with your JavaScript learning. I’d also take a look at Ruby on Rails too.
