Hi, I’m relatively new to using Shopify, I’ve looked through a lot of previous community discussions for answers and I’m surprised that the basic issue I have, has been asked about so many times without a solution from Shopify. I can’t find out how to limit the quantity of one product that a customer can add to cart per transaction, without buying another app. Before signing up with Shopify, it did not disclose anywhere that many aspects of building your website required additional paid apps to do basic things that you assumed were included in the cost of Shopify. I’ve seen many posts with examples of code, but I’m not familiar with coding at all, and most solutions don’t explain exactly where to add them. Also many posts date back to 2020, the examples I’ve tried don’t seem to work any more? Can anyone give an update on this basic functionality? Is there a up to date working code that will solve this? I’m using the Dawn theme. No suggestions of paid app subscriptions please! Thanks for any input

Your video shows a more comlex issue than mine, involving stock from two different factory locations. I just want a simple solution to set a maxium order limit for one product.

This solution is still not applicable to my requirement, your code is for a minimum order requirement of any products. I want to limit (maximum of 5) of just one product
Your requirement needs more specific code, You should hire someone to implement the same. Let me know if we can help.

I’d like to see this as well. We want to offer our customers a one time sample of our product, which feels like a very basic option. I don’t want to have to buy an App, which means sharing all our customers private data, for this one function.
