How do you link an external website and redirect the user back to my website for checkout? We have to do this due to some compliance needs that have to be met on certain products that are listed.

It sounds like what you’re describing is the use of a “Buy Button” which is one of Shopify’s sales channels.
The Buy Button enables you to create an embedded buy option for an external website, which links directly to your Shopify checkout.

Thank you so much for your reply! After getting some clarification from my client, she says that she would like a verification pop up when a customer wants to purchase specific products. Does Shopify have built-in options/templates that we can choose from or do we have to install a widget? Or can we build our own customized widget? What do Shopify users usually use?

All of these are definitely doable via either a 3rd party app from our app store, or by having one custom designed by a developer.
