Made no changes to my site and now this error message appears on the top of every page. Looks like this has been a Shopify wide issue in past years. Anyone else having this issue?
Anyone else know of a fix? I haven’t touched or edited my website code in any way, but all of a sudden today the error is showing.

Hi @houseofsxn ,
The “Liquid error” message on every page points to an issue with your Shopify theme’s Liquid code, specifically in the theme.liquid file at line 28.
To fix it:
-
Find the Error:
- Go to Online Store > Themes in your Shopify admin.
- Click Actions > Edit Code on your active theme.
- Open the theme.liquid file and go to line 28.
-
Check the Code:
- Look for syntax errors, missing variables, or improperly closed Liquid tags.
-
Troubleshoot:
- Check for missing variables or syntax issues.
- If you recently installed an app or made changes, they might be causing the error.
-
Revert Changes:
- If you made recent changes, try reverting to an older version of the theme.liquid file.
If it helps you, please like and mark it as the solution.
Best Regards

Ok, yeah. I’m noticing the same errors happening with other Shopify sites! Slightly different error code but same issue with loading the page and when it does there is an error in the header.
