Looking for any and all feedback with my first store!

Hey all! It has been an incredibly fun and exciting journey in the past 3 months, learning how to build a store on Shopify through all the bumps and tribulations. I would greatly appreciate any time the community has to give feedback on my store. I’m very new to all of this, so any range of feedback would be greatly appreciated. I’m ready to learn and grow! Thank you!

Hi RollForStyle,

This is Amee from Gojiberry - Shopify Survey & Feedback App.

First of all, congratulations on launching your site! I like what you offer; your site looks wonderful and well-made. I took a look at your store and have a few suggestions that will help increase your conversion rate:

  1. Call to action button. Add some call-to-action buttons under your products on your landing page, as well as on your product page.

  2. Connect Social Media. I went ahead and gave you a follow on Instagram! If you already have a growing Instagram account, it would help to connect the feed to your main site, thus giving it more social proof. Research shows that 76% of customers buy products seen on social media posts.

  3. Adding a blog. I checked your about us section, and it seems like there are some potential stories behind the creation of your brand. What is the inspiration? How can people wear your shirts and match them with other items?

  4. Influencer Collab. Since you have visually appealing products, it would be good to connect with micro-influencers, send them some of your pieces, and ask them to create some content for your social media and your Shopify store.

  5. Connecting online with offline. If you have a showroom / physical store, make sure to always be telling your customers about your online store, adding a quick card with your online store address provides your new customers a chance to purchase again without coming to your physical store.

  6. Testimonials. Try to showcase at least 5 testimonials on your site. Whether it’s from friends and family, or your offline store customers. Having some social proof helps boost consumer confidence in your site.

  7. Ask your customers! (Most effective for increasing conversion) When you have some converting customers, ask them how they found out about your shop. You can easily do so with a post-purchase survey app, and reward your customers with coupons/points to keep them coming back again. Once you find out your strongest marketing channel, focus more effort and money on that.

Hope this helps!

Hi @RollForStyle ,

This is Kate at PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder app.

Your store is impressively detailed, showcasing thorough information and strong branding - a commendable effort indeed. Based on my extensive knowledge in CRO, I recommend the following suggestions to improve your conversion rates:

1. Engage Customers with Promotions

Attracting customers, especially when you are just starting, can be effectively done through promotions. You did very well on the announcement bar.

To make it even better, you can consider a countdown clock section for time-sensitive offers

2. Add a benefits section

You can capture a new audience’s attention by establishing brand authority and highlighting the benefits of your products. Consider placing more emphasis on free shipping & returns worked because these practical benefits were the next barrier to purchase. For example:

3. Add a testimonial section to increase trust

You should consider showing real experiences and feedback from your customers. As a result, you will not only foster a sense of community but also build a strong foundation of trust and credibility. For example:

4. Organize your homepage for conversion-optimized

It’s about creating touch points for visitors when they visit your store. The right emotion may turn them into customers. You can check this order, which is suggested by PageFly’s CRO expert:

Continue your excellent work and remain patient. Hope my opinions can help you in your journey.

Congrats on your new store! Your store looks stunning. I can tell you have put a lot of effort into building this. However, I have some comments to make the good get even better. Here are some of my recommendations for a better customer experience, please kindly check.

1. Menu bar

A user-friendly menu bar or navigation menu encourages visitors to explore more pages on the website, increasing their engagement and time spent on the site. I suggest adding some buttons that link to other pages such as Home, About Us, Products/Services, Contact, etc. Below is a great example of a good navigation bar:

2. Product page

  • Product images: I recommend adding more product images because they can effectively highlight the unique features and selling points of each item, such as intricate patterns, fabric quality, or special embellishments. Take a look at this example:

  • Product Description: It’s great to provide your customers with a detailed and story-telling description of the products. However, a wall of text may confuse them in finding the information they need, such as materials, size, etc. I highly recommend you combine both text and bullet points to deliver specific information.

3. Customer support

Your customers may encounter technical issues, sizing questions, or payment concerns while shopping. That’s why I highly recommend setting up a pop-up at the bottom corner so that customers can quickly reach out to support staff and resolve these issues. This is a great way to improve customer experience!

Take a look at this example:

I suggest trying out MooseDesk - an inclusive support, help center, and ticketing system software. It can assist you with various tasks, such as auto-reply after business hours, establishing a help center to address frequently asked questions, and tailor-made widget layouts. Most importantly, it’s totally free!

As an expert/enthusiast in UX, I recommend implementing these changes to improve customer experience when scrolling through your store and in turn, increase your conversion rate.
