We run several shopify stores in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. In Germany, PayPal is the most popular payment option. But not at all in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Paypal, Google pay and Apple pay are shown in the express checkout on the first step of the checkout. Many visitors to our sites in the Netherlands and Belgium find this confusing and think that you cannot pay with other more populair payment methods like iDEAL, Bancontact, etc. because those options are not shown. We dit several tests and this is really a conversion killer!
So we dont want to turn off the payment options paypal, google pay and apple pay. We just dont want to show them in the first step of the checkout.
Please make this possible!
