Manually Selecting Related Products (Supply Theme)

Hi, we’re developing a store for home hardware products using the Supply theme.

The Related Products that we need to display on each of our Products pages are very specific, and are not well chosen by the default Shopify algorithm.

For example, on the product page for a power drill, we’d want to show compatible drill bits, replacement batteries, and other parts we specify.

We do not want to show competing drills and other products that aren’t compatible but share common words in the Title, as seem to be displayed by default.

Can anyone recommend a way to manually configure those Related Products relationships with the Supply theme?

If necessary we’d be open to licensing a paid-up app for this, but not an app with recurring fees.

When you’re new to a product, the terms needed to search for help can be tough to figure out.

It appears that a common term to describe our requirement is “handpicked” Related Products.

There do seem to be some apps (like Cartmade Handpick Related) that accomplish this.

If anyone has any other suggestions please let us know!
