Hi, my business was located in my home with the entire inventory. I have relocated my business to a shopfront and have transferred the entire physical inventory to the shopfront. However, I have customers who would still like to continue picking up orders from my home, as it’s 15min away from my shopfront. This is completely fine, as all orders to be picked up from my home will just be taken home with me after each day at the shop.
But my problem is, shopify doesn’t allow me to merge my inventories for both locations. This is really frustrating because I don’t what I am supposed to do now. I cannot duplicate the quantities of my stock just so everything is available at both locations for pickup via checkout, for obvious reasons. As of now, only one location has available stock, and the other one doesn’t, meaning that location will not even come up at checkout for customers opting for pickup. I can have customers select my current shopfront for pickup and leave a note at checkout asking to pickup from my home, however this just makes the whole process more complicated.
There seems to be NO apps that have the ability to merge inventories.
Can I please have any help?
Thanks
I was hopeful there’d be a solution to this! I have the same issue. I fulfill online orders from a PO Box address, and some customers want to pickup from my home. How is this not a simple fix to have the option to be able to consolidate all locations to one inventory! Like it seems so simple!
I know right.. I still never found a resolution to this. It’s a joke. Over $300USD for the basic plan each year, and Shopify can’t add such a simple feature?
I have a textbox at checkout with a statement letting my customers know to leave a note at checkout if they’d like to pickup from my home. NO ONE sees this, because I constantly have customers messaging with confusion when they only see one location at checkout, because they aren’t looking out for the note I have left. And I am not going to add it to my announcement bar, lol. Unprofessional.
Are you still having this issue? I’ll search the app store again. Shopify should just implement this basic feature to merge inventories…
It still seems to be an issue. Hoping with this price increase Shopify is adding, they are going to expand their services! Lots of little things they could implement that would make a world of difference, this being one of them!
