Methods for allowing in-store customers to quickly access photos/descriptions of products

Hi everyone,

I was looking for any apps that might help with this and I was unable to find anything. I am basically looking for something where my in-store customers can either scan a QR code or a barcode and view the product they’re interested in (website page for the item is fine) on their phone or a tablet I will have in the store. There are two ways that come to mind but Shopify Support said they do not offer either:

  1. Bulk QR code generator to generate codes for all items and automatically include them with barcodes so when we print barcodes the QR code will appear and link customers to the item page;

or

  1. Setup a barcode scanner with an iPad in-store so that customers can scan an item with the barcode scanner and be taken to the item’s product page

Do you know if there is any way to do this or something similar to this? Thank you.

Have you seen Shopcodes by Shopify?

It creates scannable QR codes that link customers directly to products on your online store. Your customers will be able to quickly scan Shopcodes with any smartphone camera and purchase your products with the tap of a finger.
