This has been here for a while, but I thought I would offer a possible solution. For search if you edit the search.json file you can change the product limit option. You should be able to do the same with the collections page. I would just look at what the increased limits do to your load time.

Hey, thanks for trying to help. 50 is the max; it won’t let me increase it further. That is what it says when I try to edit the fields.
