Missing Purchase value parameter

Topic summary

  • Issue: From Oct 1, Facebook Pixel began misreporting metrics—extremely high ROAS (~1500), phantom purchases, and a “Missing Purchase value parameter” warning.

  • Attempts: The store owner hired help, disconnected/reconnected the pixel, and investigated widely; these steps did not resolve the problem. A screenshot was attached, but the error centered on the missing purchase value.

  • Resolution: The root cause was a Currency Converter app that interfered with how purchase values were recorded/sent. Removing the app immediately fixed the tracking issues and cleared the warning.

  • Implications: Problems may stem from third‑party currency or checkout-modifying apps breaking the Pixel’s Purchase event value. Merchants with similar symptoms should audit/disable such apps and verify that the Purchase event includes a correct value.

  • Status: Resolved for the original poster; another participant reported similar symptoms but no follow-up confirmation was provided.

Hello there,

I have been struggling for more than 20 days and still haven’t solved the issue with Facebook pixel.

Starting from 1 October, Pixel started acting wired and gave me crazy numbers, like ROAs of 1500 or purchases that weren’t real. Also, I had this warning that ''Missing Purchase value parameter". I hired someone and could not find the problem. I also disconnected and connected the pixel again and still no success.

I have heard that a lot of Shopify owners have this issue.

Thank you in advance

any luck with this? We are having similar issues

Hello there,

Yes, I did solve this problem. I think on my store it was a problem with Currency Converter App which wasn’t counting right the purchases.

I did everything else and only when I deleted the App the issue was resolved.

I hope that this helps.
