I have a mega menu installed
On desktop it is beautiful
However on mobile i am having an issue
I have managed to add the navigation downward ( instead of sideways) but i have too many steps -
Click Clothing - Click Category - Then click leggings
is there a way i can remove the Category step - which is the top level of my mega menu
Got it! So, the issue here is that on mobile, your mega menu is making users go through an extra step:
Click Clothing → Click Category → Click Leggings
Ideally, you want to remove the Category step so users can go straight from Clothing → Leggings without the middle step.
How to Fix It:
Go to Your Shopify Admin Panel
Head over to Online Store > Navigation
Edit Your Mega Menu
Find the menu structure where “Category” is sitting between “Clothing” and “Leggings.”
Instead of nesting “Leggings” under “Category,” move it directly under “Clothing.”
Save and Test
Once you’ve adjusted it, preview the mobile version to make sure the changes work smoothly.
If Your Theme Uses a Custom Mega Menu App
If you’re using a third-party mega menu app, you might need to check its settings. Most apps allow you to customize the menu depth. Try setting it so “Leggings” is a direct sub-item of “Clothing.”
