We run a Shopify website in the US and are looking to expand our market to Europe. In the best-case scenario, we would like to use subfolders like, for example, .com/nl or .com/gb etc. However, the issue is that we are going to sell different products/formulas for our European customers; this is due to regulations. We are also shipping from a European facility. The main issue is that we want people to check out in their own currency, so if you’re from France, you can buy in euros, and if you’re from the UK, you can pay in pounds etc. The payment option would be possible if we could use Shopify Payments, but we sell dietary supplements, which they don’t accept(smh). Note: we have Shopify Plus.
In the best-case scenario, we would like to keep everyone on the .com domain for SEO purposes. But another option would be to open a .eu store just for Europe.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this issue?
